Name: Nara'Zen / Kana
Gender: Female
Age: Approximatly 28000 years old.
Class: Shaman
Professions: Skinning/Leatherworking
Character Description: Nara'Zen is a naturiste, she lives for the moment to enjoy life in every aspect. She despises clothing, feeling it's a waste to hide something as perfect as the humanoid body. She has been raised with discipline, so she will supress this feeling in public, but whenever possible she won't hesitate to walk around naked.
Character Background:
Kana, a slender, elegant Troll huntress, was born in the Pinkspear Tribe, hidden in the hills of the Hinterlands. The village was protected by a powerful seal, she grew up in peace.
When the turned eight, Kana set out for the wilds, together with her pet boar Narzir, to follow her childhood dream: To tame every beast that roams the world. She grew very skillful, explored huge parts of the world, saw more than the averadge person sees.
At the age of 16, Kana started to feel drawn to companions. Her tribe had a veyr naturistic religion, involving lots of celebrations to life, mostly through dancing and erotic rituals. As an Adult, Kana began to hunger towards these rituals as well.
She joined the Horde, and found her home in the tribe of the Shadowscar.
One day, Kana had a dream.
The dream
Kana felt like she was flying. She had had more dreams like this, but somehow, this one felt a lot more real. She could feel the atmosphere flowing around her naked skin, she could see the purple horizon, separating the pulsing blue sky and the deep red sea below. If she concentrated hard enough, she could even pick up a scent in the distance.
A scent. It felt so common, like the scents she picked up from every edge when she was strolling around Orgrimmar. It was the scent of a humanoid, she was sure of it. But next to that, she was unable to identify it. It had a mysterious undertone, kind of like the radiance she felt when she was hunting in the Blasted Lands, radiating from the Dark Portal. But those were foul, dark scents. Whatever she smelled, it was everything but bad.
Staring at the horizon, she could see a small cloud of dark green mist, shortly followed by a small lump of earth, which steadily started to grow as she floated further into her dream. She could feel the scent rising, it was definatly coming from the island. In fact, she could smell additional scents, which resembled the first one, but were a lot weaker, and also unique from the original scent. Other humanoids of the same species, most likely.
Kana concentrated on the scent, trying to travel to it, willing to identify it, find out what species she was trailing, and what good they could form. Though her path seemed to have been drawn for her, the more she focused, the faster she seemed to float. She smiled confidently, glad that she could actually control her dream.
The island was slowly growing bigger, and also increasing in detail. Kana could identify edges in the shade, which would probably be a city. She could vaguely see a forest, lined closely upon a vast mountain ridge. She could even see a small boat that had just left the island, and was sailing away from her.
It seemed whatever was pulling her through her dream was aiming at the city. Houses, towers and walls emerged from the shadow, and she even saw a kind of humanoids walking on top of the gate. What they were, she still had no idea.
Then, she saw the blue flags hanging from the walls. Alliance territory. Kana always evaded crowded areas territory of the Alliance. Easy prey alone, certain death in a stronghold.
She started to panic, tried to focus on herself flying away from the city again, but she realized she couldn’t go back anymore. In fear of how the guards would react, she closed her eyes and crawled together.
After a few minutes, she opened her eyes again. She found herself still floating through the city. The creatures walking around paid no heed to her, as if she could see them, but they couldn’t see her. She sighed relieved, and lay back, enjoying the rest of the ride and the view of the for her unknown city.
She had arrived. Slowly, she flew into one of the many houses, then came to an abrupt halt. In front of her, she could see one of the humanoid creatures, clearly a female, finish channeling some kind of spell, and look up at her.
“Kana…”
The trolless blinked. How could a… whatever that female was know her name? She tried to reply, but when she formed her lips, a different word came out of it.
“Nara’zen…”
She blinked again, surprised to how she suddenly knew the name of the creature as well.
The humanoid, who she would later learn to be a eredar, stood up and walked towards her. For whatever reason, the eredar was naked, just like Kana. The troll could see well how the strange creature’s body was built this way. Through the veils of her dream, the eredar looked simply beautiful. Her skin toned a deep blue, with hair as black as the night. Her curves looked similar to Kana’s, which were always regarded as perfection in her tribe.
But next to that, the eredar in no way resembled the humanoids Kana knew. She walked on big, black hooves, which made Kana think of the tauren. She had a perfect hourglass figure, just like the night elves. And next to that, she had a small tail coming from her back, covered in golden rings, and also four limbs that looked like tails hanging on her shoulders, covered in rings as well.
The eredar was gracefully walking towards Kana while they inspected each other. Face to face, she came to a halt. Both were silent, afraid to say something wrong, and afraid the other couldn’t understand it anyway.
Then, out of nowhere, the eredar embraced Kana and started to kiss her deeply. For a second, Kana struggled, but the moment she felt the other’s lips, an amazing sensation filled her, and she surrendered her to it. They caressed each other, explored each other, careful not to break the line, but both enjoying every moment of it.
Suddenly, Kana leaped up and let out a yelp. She was back in Booty Bay, where she had dozed off the evening before. Disappointed, she tried to get to sleep again, but the sun was flaring in her face, there was no way to get back today.
The rest of that day, she only longed for sleep. Longed back to the mysterious creature.
The Naaru
From that night since, Kana had always dreamed together with her new companion. They were starting to feel more comfortable together, but they never did anything else than what they did on the first night, afraid to ruin the bond, making it too personal.
But today was different. Kana could feel it as she neared the house, which has started to feel like a second home already. Her eredar companion was there, as every night, but today she looked different. She had a stern, serious look in her face, as if something was troubling you.
“Kana… It’s good to see you again.“
The eredar spoke in a language Kana had never head before, yet she understood every word, every emotion of it. When she tried to reply in Orcish, the same language flew from her lips instead.
“It’s good to see you too, Nara’Zen…”, she managed to reply.
She approached her friend, but the eredar shook her head.
“I’m sorry Kana, but today is not the time.”
Kana understood.
“You are wondering who I am. You are wondering how I know you, and you are wondering how I manage to get you here.”
Kana said nothing, she felt the eredar could read her face just as well.
“The first and last are easy. I am Nara’Zen, a shaman of the eredar. We have come from a distant realm, seeking refuge. We were exiled by the rest of our race, so now we call ourselves the Exiles. Draenei.
As a shaman, I have mastered the ability to create a link with another person’s soul, with which I can draw you here. Those are the simple explanations, you will need nothing more.
Now for the second question, how do I know you? You and me, Kana, we share a bond with each other’s soul. You are my spiritbond.”
“Spirit bond?” Kana looked confused.
“Yes, Kana. Every living creature through every realm has one other creature they are spiritbonded with. These two creatures share a lot of things, for instance you must have noticed my body looks very similar to yours.
This bond is the reason we can make each other feel the way we do. It is also the only way I was able to lay personal contact with you, and manage to draw you hear within your dreams.”
“You mean… Like a mate?” Kana asked.
Nara’Zen smiled. “Similar, yes. Though our bond was created through our souls, while mates bind themselves through love. Do you understand all of this, Kana?”
She nodded. “But I still have one question… Why?”
The eredar stared to the floor, and sighed. “I won’t lie to you, Kana… I took you here because I am desperate.”
Kana gave her a confused look.
“Let me explain everything:
It all started about twenty years ago. It was a time of war. My people, the draenei, were being hunted by the Burning Legion, for betraying Kil’Jaeden. Our respected leader, Velen, was able to keep the undead armies away from my people, by constantly moving from one plane to another, and by keeping our trail and homelands hidden with powerful enchantments.
But it couldn’t last. Kil’Jaeden found our home, in the Outlands at that time. But instead of attacking us directly, he corrupted the orcs that lived on the same plane, driving them into a bloodfury against us. Our defenses lacked, we could not hold them back for long. We had to flee again, and so we did.
During the last skirmish, while we fled, the orcish warlock named Gul’Dan managed to cast a last curse at the Draenei, intended to cripple their firstborn children. The orc being a mere apprentice, the high effects of his curse failed. There was only one eredar infected by it…”
Nara’Zen paused for a moment, suppressing a tear from flowing.
“My mother.”
“When I turned eight years old, my mother told me about the curse. She said I was lucky that its effect was very little.
Lucky…
For all these years, Gul’Dan’s curse has been corrupting my soul, slowly draining all the energy out of it. Two years from now, there will be nothing left of me but a body, useless as an empty shell.
From the day my mother told me, I have searched for a cure. I studied the spiritual forces, the elements of the world, all hoping to restore myself. But without any succes, the curse was too powerful to purify, and I found no way to restore my soul’s strength.”
“Then, I met the Naaru. The Naaru are a spiritual race, bringers of the power of the Light to the people of Azeroth, aswell as to our own people. They are holy among all of Azeroth, and I was lucky to get in contact with one.
He had a cure. The Naaru I spoke to told me he had the ability to transfer one person’s soul into a different person’s body, regardless of creature, position or anything.”
“Wait,” Kana interrupted, “Are you asking me to sacrifice my own life to save yours?”
“No, my dear Kana. I am asking you to save my life by… Drasticly throwing your own life around. I am asking you to allow the Naaru to transfer your soul into my body.
Don’t worry about the consequences. My own soul will be replaced, but my mind will fuse with you, so I can guide you through your new life. You own body will remain untouched. I am not sure how, but I asume the Naaru is capable of copying your soul, so that an identical Kana may live your life through. She will remember nothing of me. I can not explain you more than I understand myself.”
Nara’Zen let out a long sigh. “I do realise how selfish this sounds… But what do you say, Kana?”
Kana only smiled. She figured her face said more than enough to the Draenei.
Kana woke up the next day, to find herself in the same city she saw in her dreams. Exodar, her mind told her, that was how they called it.
She tried to stand up, but she immediately lost her balance and fell back on the ground. She stared to her feet, and realised why she was so clumsy.
Where she had her elegant troll feet the last day, there were now dark black hooves.
The Naaru had done what he promised.
